Until they all have a home

"Top 5" Wish List

We rely solely on public donations and the generosity of our volunteers to provide the services we do in the community. Thank you to everyone who has contributed toward improving the lives of animals. The following are some items that we regularly need...

1.   Monetary Donations: Without financial support from the community, we would not be able to provide the services we do for animals in need. RCHS helps the community by taking in owner-surrendered pets and animals from shelters who would otherwise be euthanized. Often, these animals come to us lacking basic vaccinations or necessary medical care and are unneutered. Our average expenses for cats & kittens are $71-86 per animal for the most basic medical care. Average expenses for dogs & puppies are $120-135. Some pets who come to us are in need of special care due to abuse or neglect. Their medical expenses may run several hundreds of dollars. Donations of any amount help our pets: $10, $25, $50 - any amount you can provide will go directly toward the health and care of our animals. Contributions are tax-deductable.

2.   Volunteers: Volunteers are the backbone of RCHS. We need volunteers in all areas. Maybe you would like to help show our pets at adoption events, help socialize our animals through training and play, or provide a temporary home for a cat or dog until they can be adopted. Or maybe you would like to help organize adoption events, help develop fundraising ideas/events, or recruit other volunteers. There are so many ways to become involved. Contact us today for more information!

3.   Corporate Sponsors: We need you! Perhaps you would like to donate your space to host one of our special events, donate supplies or services, or maybe you would like to honor our volunteers with a gift card. Maybe you would like to sponsor one of our fundraising events. There are so many ways that corporations and local businesses can help our animals.

4.   Pet Supplies: Our furry friends need portable kennels (for cat & dogs of all sizes), food and treats (for dogs, cats, puppies, & kittens), flea and tick control products (Frontline and Advantage), heartworm preventative (e.g. Heartguard), leashes, collars, toys, towel/blankets, feral cat traps, litter boxes, and A LOT OF CAT litter.

5.   General Supplies: In order to help maintain both pets and organize adoption events, we are in need of the following items:  photo film and/or digital camera, copy expenses (for brochures, flyers, and newsletters), printing paper, and cleaning supplies (long handle scrub brushes, disinfectant, rubber gloves, bleach, detergent, pooper scoopers, garbage bags, sponges, mops, etc).
